Dear FIJI Brother:
On April 2, 2005, the Alpha Sigma Chapter will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of our Chartering in 1965. For forty years the Chapter has continued to open doors of opportunity and effect positive change and growth for the Brothers.
We have good news and many reasons to celebrate:
The Fijis are moving back on the ASU campus. ASU has developed what they call “The Greek Commons”, an area between the old Alpha Sigma house and Scottsdale Road. At ASU, it is the future of the Greek Community and we need to be there. ASU gave us the first pick among the Fraternities and we have selected a three story free standing building with eight beds on the first floor and fourteen beds on the second and third floors. Our new address is 1342 S. Sunset Dr., Tempe, Arizona 85281. Obviously we will not be filling the entire House right away but ASU wants us to fill the entire building as quickly as possible within reason. The building has a meeting room, study room, laundry room and a living room. Through the Phi Gamma Delta Educational Endowment Fund we will be filling the study room with four state of the art computers and computer related equipment. If you are interested in details of the structure and the amenities of our new house, see the website http://www.campushousing.com/asumz/amenities.htm.
We are planning one of the greatest Norris Pig Dinners ever in conjunction with our 40th Anniversary of the granting of our Charter. We will be sending you updates.
We need everyone to help with the ongoing process of opening doors of growth, shaping a future filled with hope and opportunity for our current and future Brothers.
- If you know of any Fiji caliber young men enrolling at or attending ASU that we should contact please pass that information on to us.
- We need donations for the furnishings of our new House and an official Chapter House Marker with our Greek Letters.
- The giving of your time and life experiences to assist the undergraduate Brothers with Rush, Pledge Education and Scholarship Development.
If ever there was a time for you to contribute in some way, this is the time, and this is the moment. It is unlikely there has ever been a more important time in the history of the Alpha Sigma Chapter. Your continued dedication, support and generosity will have a lasting and positive effect on the future of our Chapter, and the future is now.
Fraternally,
Dave Watkins Graduate Chapter President |

HOW YOU CAN HELP
We need Freshmen names, home addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, and the name of the High School they have attended. Please call brother Brian Grobstein at 602-370-6322 or email info@asufiji.org with this information. Please help in any way that you can, as soon as you can - time is of the essence!
We need to furnish and decorate our chapter house, including common and study areas. We are starting fresh, so our list of needs is great. Please help and be as generous as possible. We have secured exterior bricks from our old chapter house and the undergrads will send you one of these as a thank you for your donation of $100 or more. Please make your checks payable to Phi Gamma Delta and send to Dave Watkins at 5901 E. Marconi Ave. Scottsdale, Az. 85254. The fastest way to help the chapter financially is by using your PayPal account, donating funds with the button at the right.
If the button does not appear correctly in this message, you may still donate via PayPal by visiting this link: http://tinyurl.com/5yxu4.
